Construction of landscape works for the new premises of the VFST. Landstruct was commissioned to redesign a failed design attempt by architects. The design is of a sympathetic landscape treatment for users who have arrived in Australia in a traumatised state. The landscape includes oval shaped conversation pods and soothing planting styles.
The project involved demolition, significant earthworks, mounding, decking and timber seat pods, stone paving, gravel, grass, advanced tree planting, irrigation and lighting. A second project of similar nature was carried out by Landstruct on the landscape to the extended building 2 years later.
